Did you know that Nisqually Wildlife refuge has a nature play area? We’ve been a few times previously, but it had been awhile so the kids were super excited to go back and check it out again. I love how it’s all open ended and nature based. There’s a stump area, a play structure with hammocks, a digging pit, an outdoor music section, a block construction area, and a messy play area. My kids had a wonderful time running around. It’s a great spot if you don’t have time to do an entire walk or if your kids just need a break. You can find it to the right of the visitors center at the first parking lot. It was definitely a morning well spent for us!
Our favorite room at Chihuly Garden and Glass is definitely the glass room towards the end of the exhibits. It’s beautiful and a nice place for kids to walk around a bit (or even twirl like my middle child 🥰).
Chihuly Garden and Glass is such a beautiful museum! We’ve been twice now and have loved both of our visits.
Cape Disappointment was anything but disappointing. 😍 So glad we were able to camp there this summer! .
Right across the Columbia River is Fort Clataop, where Lewis and Clark camped during the winter of 1805-1806. The fort is a lot of fun to visit and the kids all earned a jr. Ranger badge and a patch (for our time at Cape Disappointment). It was the perfect way to continue learning about the area and Lewis and Clark before heading home.
Waikiki Beach… but not THAT Waikiki beach. 🤪
