London With Kids: The British Museum

May 14, 2016

Our fourth and last day in London. The previous 3 days had gone well and we were excited to stop by the British Museum on our way out. … More London With Kids: The British Museum

London with Kids: Tower of London and St. Paul’s Cathedral

May 11, 2016

Our plan for the day was to go to the Tower of London and then see head over to the British Museum. Obviously the day didn’t go as planned as you can see from the title, but it still ended up being a pretty good day. … More London with Kids: Tower of London and St. Paul’s Cathedral

London with Kids: Westminster and Kensington

May 7, 2016

The day before had been great, our first night in the hotel room went very well, and we were ready to see more of the city. Our plan for the day was to visit sites in Westminster and Kensington.  … More London with Kids: Westminster and Kensington

London With Kids: Harry Potter, River Tour, and Trafalgar Square

May 3, 2016

We took our family to London in April and had an amazing time! Our toddler has now repeatedly told us that she wants to live there (although a big part of it might be because of her sharing a name with the city…). … More London With Kids: Harry Potter, River Tour, and Trafalgar Square

We love visiting farms and it’s so nice that Lattin’s is open year round for visits. A bag of animal feed can be purchased for a small fee and sometimes you might be lucky enough to also help feed the goats. We followed up our visit with fresh apple cider donuts from their shop and it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Did you know that Nisqually Wildlife refuge has a nature play area? We’ve been a few times previously, but it had been awhile so the kids were super excited to go back and check it out again. I love how it’s all open ended and nature based. There’s a stump area, a play structure with hammocks, a digging pit, an outdoor music section, a block construction area, and a messy play area. My kids had a wonderful time running around. It’s a great spot if you don’t have time to do an entire walk or if your kids just need a break. You can find it to the right of the visitors center at the first parking lot. It was definitely a morning well spent for us!
Our favorite room at Chihuly Garden and Glass is definitely the glass room towards the end of the exhibits. It’s beautiful and a nice place for kids to walk around a bit (or even twirl like my middle child 🥰).
Chihuly Garden and Glass is such a beautiful museum! We’ve been twice now and have loved both of our visits.
Cape Disappointment was anything but disappointing. 😍 So glad we were able to camp there this summer! .
Right across the Columbia River is Fort Clataop, where Lewis and Clark camped during the winter of 1805-1806. The fort is a lot of fun to visit and the kids all earned a jr. Ranger badge and a patch (for our time at Cape Disappointment). It was the perfect way to continue learning about the area and Lewis and Clark before heading home.
