Bonjour again- this time from Monet’s Gardens in Giverny!
Bonjour!
We got a good amount of snow over the weekend and had such a great time playing in it! We don’t always get a lot of snow out here, so when it does come, we make sure to enjoy it while it lasts (it’s already mostly melted at this point). I’m not really a snow person, but a couple days a year are fun. I know parts of the world are getting quite a bit of wintery weather right now, what’s it like where you live?
We had such a great time at the @mountrainierinstitute last week learning all about Bigleaf Maple trees and how to make syrup from their sap! It fit perfectly with our recent science lessons on trees and with our upcoming history read of Little House in the Big Woods. And it got us out of the house in a very Covid-safe way. In this picture, our middle child is pretending to collect sap. 😊 We loved our field trip and I would definitely recommend checking this out if you’re in Western Washington. The maple syrup program runs until mid February (check out our homeschool highlights to see more from our day 💛).
Someone was excited to be getting out of the house for a bit last week. 🥰
He was so pleased with himself for walking our entire nature walk. 🥰
