Vancouver Island with Kids: Sandcut Beach

We traveled to Vancouver Island in July and had the best time. After checking out Victoria for the day, we headed towards our AirBNB in Jordan River and stopped at Sandcut Beach along the way.

The trail down to the beach is about a mile long. It’s fairly easy and definitely doable with kids. Along the way there are fun little faces to spot in the tree trunks that definitely kept our kids motivated.

Once we reached the beach, we turned left and continued down the coast for a bit until we came to the waterfall!

There were two waterfalls falling off of the little cliff and it was so beautiful to see! We all had fun climbing around and exploring. And the best part- no one else was there for quite awhile so we had the entire place to ourselves.

When we continued walking along the coast, we came across a giant driftwood that was another fun spot to play.

We could have stayed here for awhile, but eventually needed to continue on to our next stop. It was wonderful though and an amazing start to our trip!

Have you been to Vancouver Island before? Where’s your favorite spot to visit?
